Sea Turtle Project in Sri Lanka
Sri Lanka is a tropical island in the Indian Ocean, which is blessed with rich biodiversity and the landscape breathtaking. This island shaped like a teardrop, with its massive counterpart from neighboring India, the shadow that is rich in a variety of natural resources and home to some of the friendliest people in Asia. Although Sri Lanka is a small country compared to others in the region, differences in climatic conditions on the island is very remarkable and is the reason why such a variety of survival in this idyllic location. Some fish, insects and birds also inhabit the jungles of Sri Lanka, are native species, including a handful of animals listed as endangered, because they disappear as a result of habitat loss, which is a direct consequence of the growing human population approaching.
These turtles are really an incredible race of beings. With a lifespan of nearly 80 years, these gentle animals inhabit the seas of the world except the Arctic. Those who have stumbled upon a living animal while using television, the graceful beauty of a turtle underwater gliding effortlessly on the lookout after a meal or side. Again, this is harmless in the context of animal cruelty and selfishness of the whole man suffered. For many years, Fischer was on the west coast of Sri Lanka to feed their families with eggs of sea turtles that are easy to find for those who live by the sea, because the female turtles lay their eggs used after a few meters sand, because the eggs are incubated at a given temperature.
Female sea turtles come ashore during the night security lay their eggs because they are vulnerable to predators during labor. The Sea Turtle Project plays a vital role in ensuring the continuity of this kind as an indispensable element of the natural world. The involvement of man as a predator in the life cycle of sea turtles has almost disappeared, like the hunting of turtles and turtle eggs for financial reasons is prohibited by the Government of Sri Lanka.
